About Brian Posehn
Brian Posehn is a very busy writer/actor/stand-up comic he doesn’t have a ton of down time. Brian has had many childhood dreams come true in his 35+ years of working in entertainment. The most recent being acting in the Disney + show The Mandalorian.
Brian has many memorable roles in television and film. From NBC’s Lopez vs Lopez to his recurring roles on The Big Bang Theory, New Girl and Just Shoot Me. He was one of the stars of Comedy Central’s popular show, The Sarah Silverman Program. He has also appeared on such seminal sitcoms as Seinfeld, NewsRadio, Everybody Loves Raymond and Friends.
In the sketch comedy world, he is known as one of the writers and performers on HBO’s acclaimed Mr. Show. He also co-produced Bob Odenkirk and David Cross’s return to sketch with the Netflix hit, With Bob and David.
He was featured in the films, Devil’s Rejects and The Five Year Engagement. He had his first feature film starring role in the dark, indie comedy, Uncle Nick.
In stand-up comedy he’s known as one of the original members of the Comedians of Comedy. He’s recorded two half hour specials for Comedy Central, four comedy albums and four one hour long specials, The Fartist, Criminally Posehn, 25 X 2 and Posehna Non Grata.
In Voice-Acting he’s done everything from Scooby Doo to The Simpsons. He starred on the animated shows, Mission Hill and 3 South and has turned up in Adventure Time, American Dad, Bob’s Burgers and Steven Universe, to name a few. His voice was featured in the Dreamworks animated feature film, Captain Underpants.
In 2018 he released his first book, Forever Nerdy. In 2019, he completed a comedy metal album Grandpa Metal, featuring metal legends from Anthrax, Dethklok, Slayer and Soundgarden. Grandpa Metal was released to rave reviews in the metal world in February of 2020.
He is the producer and host of the very popular D&D comedy podcast, Nerd Poker.
He co-wrote 45 issues of the best-selling Marvel comic book series Deadpool. His most recent comic books Rifters written with Fall Out Boy’s Joe Trohman and Grommets written with Rick Remender have been hugely successful. Coming soon he will release a collection of Grommets and Rifters through Images Comics.
Brian resides in Los Angeles, CA with his beautiful wife, son and two dogs.
